Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 2026
1. Overview
PradeepBio (“we”, “our”, or “the site”) is a personal bioinformatics research portfolio and free tools platform operated at pradeepbio.com. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights in relation to it. By using this website you agree to the practices described below.
2. Information We Collect
2a. Analytics (Google Analytics 4)
We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand how visitors use the site. GA4 collects anonymised usage data including pages visited, time on page, referring source, approximate geographic region, device type, and browser. This data is processed by Google and subject to Google's Privacy Policy. We do not use GA4 for advertising or remarketing purposes.
2b. Contact & Feedback Forms
If you submit a message through our contact or feedback forms, we collect your name (if provided), email address, and the content of your message. This information is used solely to respond to your enquiry. Messages are processed via Resend and stored only as long as necessary to respond.
2c. Bioinformatics Tool Inputs
Inputs you enter into our browser-based tools (gene symbols, SMILES strings, PDB IDs, sequences, FASTQ files, etc.) are processed in one of two ways:
- Client-side only — Primer Tm Calculator, Gel Electrophoresis Simulator, and NGS Read QC process data entirely in your browser. Nothing is transmitted to our servers.
- Third-party public APIs— Other tools forward your input to free public APIs (NCBI, UniProt, RCSB PDB, AlphaFold DB, ChEMBL, PubChem, ADMETlab 3.0, Reactome, STRING-db). We do not store these inputs. Please review each provider's own privacy policy for details on how they handle queries.
3. Cookies
We do not use tracking cookies for advertising. Google Analytics may set cookies (typically _ga, _ga_*) to distinguish unique visitors and sessions. You can opt out of GA4 tracking by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on or using your browser's Do Not Track setting.
4. Third-Party Services
This site uses the following third-party services:
- Vercel — hosting and edge network (see Vercel Privacy Policy)
- Google Analytics 4 — anonymised usage analytics
- Resend — email delivery for contact/feedback forms
- Public bioinformatics APIs — NCBI, UniProt, RCSB PDB, AlphaFold DB, ChEMBL, PubChem, ADMETlab 3.0, Reactome, STRING-db, Human Protein Atlas
We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these third-party services. We encourage you to review their respective privacy policies.
5. Data Retention
Contact and feedback form submissions are retained only as long as necessary to respond to your enquiry, typically no more than 90 days. Analytics data is retained in GA4 for 14 months by default. We do not maintain a database of user accounts or personal profiles.
6. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights including:
- The right to access personal data we hold about you
- The right to request correction or deletion of your data
- The right to object to or restrict processing
- The right to data portability (where applicable)
To exercise any of these rights, please contact us using the contact form.
7. Children's Privacy
This site is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has submitted personal data to us, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected in the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
